Families, we are getting ready for our upcoming STAAR/EOC tests, and we want every student to feel confident, calm, and ready to do their best. Your support at home truly makes a difference!
Here are a few simple ways you can help your child succeed:
✨ Make sure your student arrives on time each testing day. Late arrivals can disrupt the testing process and may require students to test in a different setting.
😴 Help them get a good night’s sleep the night before testing so they feel rested and focused.
🍎 Eat a healthy breakfast to help fuel their brain for the day.
🎒 Encourage a positive mindset! Remind them to take their time, read carefully, and do their very best.
Our students have worked incredibly hard this year, and we are so proud of their effort and growth. STAAR is simply an opportunity for them to show what they know!
Please review the attached testing schedule so you can help your child be prepared for their testing days. Thank you for partnering with us to support our students!

Just a friendly reminder that Spring Break is next week, March 16–20!
We hope our students and families enjoy a well-deserved break filled with rest, fun, and special memories. Whether you're traveling, spending time with family, or just enjoying a slower pace, we hope it’s a wonderful week!
We can’t wait to see everyone back refreshed and ready to learn! 💙
Have a safe and happy Spring Break!

We started the evening by enjoying a delicious meal together at Rancho Grande, where students were able to relax, connect, and share some laughs. After dinner, we headed out to cheer on the Panola Ponies at their basketball game! 🏀📣
Experiences like these give our students the opportunity to build relationships, enjoy positive school activities, and create memories outside the classroom. We are proud of our students for representing Excelsior High School so well in the community!
