We love watching our Wildcats learn, explore, and have fun with math! 💙🤍🐾

They first explored chemistry by modeling elements and compounds, seeing how atoms combine to create new substances. ⚛️
They also became investigators, testing factors that affect the rate of dissolution—like temperature and stirring—to see how they change the speed of dissolving. 🧪💧
Hands-on learning is helping our students connect big science concepts to the world around them. 💙🤍🐾

September 8th-September 12th

They have:
-Created adorable self-portraits that build fine motor skills and support social-emotional growth by encouraging self-awareness and confidence
-Played fun games with sentence segmenting to build early literacy skills
-Had a blast sorting colors while practicing important math skills like grouping and classifying
We love watching our youngest learners grow, explore, and shine each day. 💙🤍🐾 #ExcelsiorPreK

Excelsior ISD families,
We want to make you aware of an important change to our school meal program for the this school year. In previous years, Excelsior ISD participated in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP), which allowed us to provide free breakfast and lunch to all students without requiring meal applications.
After a recent review, we no longer qualify for CEP. This means that families will now need to complete a Free and Reduced-Price Meal Application to determine eligibility for meal benefits.
What this means for you:
-All families should fill out a meal application, even if you believe you may not qualify.
-Applications are confidential and help ensure our students receive the support they need.
-Completing an application also helps the district qualify for additional funding and resources that benefit all students.
Applications will be available on our website as well as a paper copy sent home beginning tomorrow. We encourage all families to complete them as soon as possible so that there is no interruption to your child’s meal benefits.
We are hopeful that we will be able to apply for CEP again and regain eligibility for the following school year.
Thank you for your cooperation and support as we continue to provide healthy, nutritious meals for every student at Excelsior ISD.

Our students’ hard work, leadership, and service earned us recognition as a National Beta School of Distinction—an honor awarded to only 22% of Beta Clubs nationwide this year!
This club not only celebrates achievement but also promotes academic excellence, leadership, and good character. Big shoutout to our amazing members, their families, and teachers for making this possible. 💙🤍
Excelsior is truly wired for success!
