We started the evening by enjoying a delicious meal together at Rancho Grande, where students were able to relax, connect, and share some laughs. After dinner, we headed out to cheer on the Panola Ponies at their basketball game! 🏀📣
Experiences like these give our students the opportunity to build relationships, enjoy positive school activities, and create memories outside the classroom. We are proud of our students for representing Excelsior High School so well in the community!

Our students and staff stepped into the fun today for Read Across America Week by wearing their favorite silly socks in honor of Fox in Socks! From bright colors to crazy patterns, our halls were full of fun and creativity.
Take a look at these awesome socks — our students and staff really knocked our socks off today!

Read Across America Week is in full swing, and today our students are showing off their wackiest, most colorful outfits! From mismatched clothes to wild patterns, our campus is full of fun and creativity.
Check out these amazing photos — our students and teachers really know how to celebrate reading in style!

Oh, the places we’ll go when we READ!

Our little scientists went on a “magnetism walk” and had a blast exploring the world around them! Equipped with magnets and lots of curiosity, students investigated which objects would attract and which would not.
From discovering hidden magnetic surprises to testing classroom objects, our kinders were learning through hands-on exploration and big smiles!
We love seeing our students think, predict, test, and discover — science in action! 🧲

Our Pre-K friends celebrated being 100 days brighter today! 🎉
They decorated and wore their adorable 100 Days crowns, dressed up for the big celebration, and showed off their creativity and counting skills by making necklaces with 100 Froot Loops!
From counting to crafting, it was a day full of learning, laughter, and lots of colorful fun! We are so proud of how much our little learners have grown in 100 days! 💛
Here’s to 100 days of learning — and many more to come!

We are so excited to celebrate our amazing students this Friday at 2:00 p.m.!

Families, we look forward to seeing you there!

Every day in school is a new opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed! When students attend school consistently, they build strong academic skills, develop friendships, and stay on track for future success.
Missing just a few days each month can add up quickly and impact learning. Being present every day helps students:
✅ Stay connected to their teachers and classmates
✅ Build confidence in all their subjects
✅ Develop responsibility and good habits
✅ Improve overall academic performance
At Excelsior ISD, we are committed to helping every child succeed — and that starts with showing up! 💙
Parents, we appreciate your partnership in making daily attendance a priority. Let’s work together to ensure our students are present, prepared, and ready to learn each and every day!

💙 School Counselor Appreciation 💙
Today we want to give a huge shout-out to our amazing school counselor, Alanea Edwards!
Ms. Alanea takes such great care of our students’ social-emotional well-being, making sure every child feels supported, heard, and valued. She helps ensure students’ needs are met, and works closely with staff and families to support the whole child.
Behind the scenes, she also analyzes data and supports instructional decisions to help ensure our students are receiving a high-quality education and the supports they need to succeed—both academically and emotionally.
We are so thankful for Ms. Alanea's dedication, compassion, and heart for our school community. Thank you for all you do—during School Counseling Week and every week! 💙
